Educate! receives the DoSomething Award!

Great news! Educate! was just selected to receive the DoSomething Award, a national award given to 5 outstanding young changemakers across the country! Educate! will receive $10,000 for the DoSomething Award. In addition, one of the five winners will be selected on June 4 as the grand prize Do Something Award winner and receive $100,000!

The DoSomething Award has been the only non-celebrity category of the Teen Choice Awards and the first ever televised award show about making the world better. Check it out at: http://www.dosomething.org/programs/awards.

The DoSomething Award is a great testament to the potential of Educate!’s work in Uganda to empower the next generation of socially responsible leaders in Africa!

The Denver CBS station aired a short interview with Eric Glustrom, Educate!’s director, when he was informed that Educate! received the DoSomething Award. Check it out at: http://www.cbs4denver.com/video/?id=56953@kcnc.dayport.com.

Thank you to DoSomething for recognizing Educate!’s work and the incredible work of all the other finalists. We’re excited to attend the awards ceremony in NYC on June 4!

For everyone involved in Educate!, keep up the great work and there will be more success down the road!
